Lyon Ritchie, LLC began in 2018 out of a desire to solve technical communication challenges for today’s businesses through strategic applications of textual and visual content.
Ann Ritchie
Ann is a professional writer with a versatile and seasoned skill set in business communications, digital marketing, online content and technical writing.
Her work includes the content of websites, publications and documentation for clients such as Baptist Health, BNY-Mellon, Builder Magazine, Carlow University, Carnegie Mellon University, DIY Network, Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development and many others.
As the communications manager for Carnegie Mellon’s Information Networking Institute from 2010 to 2015, she multitasked skillfully to manage the website and social media, publicize news and achievements, write speeches for university leadership and coordinate proposal writing for grants leading to large awards for research and scholarships in cyber technologies.
Ann has been a consulting writer and editor since 2015, serving a variety of organizations, particularly in the areas of higher education, health and wellness, technology and new business. Since 2017, she has assisted five different clients with the massive application process required for entry into the state-regulated medical marijuana industry. In 2018, she established Lyon Ritchie, LLC, a technical documentation company specializing in making complex information simple to understand through good writing and illustrations.

Gary Ritchie
Gary has spent recent years managing, and contributing to, web applications, animations, and illustrations for the Department of Energy, America’s top production homebuilders, and international clients. He knows how to engage and nurture cross-functional teams and lead specialists in user experience design, illustration, and web application development. He brings to his projects leadership training and deep experiences in digital communications and the design and development of a wide variety of media assets.
As a concept artist, he contributed to Digital Media Workshop’s sci-fi adventure game, Prominence, with hard-surface environment and prop designs, digital paintings, and 3d model prototypes. Among other accolades, the game went on to win Best Visuals in the Best of The Year roundup at IndieGames.com.
Earlier in his career, Gary designed and art directed large-scale web projects for clients such as Coca-Cola and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. He designed corporate identities and websites and developed creative solutions for web applications and video projects. He is also a skilled illustrator and photographer offering technical 3d visualization and illustration.
Gary has also served as the vice president of the nation’s second largest illustrators' society, the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators.
